Description
Reverse osmosis (RO) is a separation process that uses pressure to force water through a membrane that retains the solute on one side and allows the pure solvent to pass to the other side. More formally, it is the process of forcing a solvent from a region of high solute concentration through a membrane to a region of low solute concentration by applying pressure more than the osmotic pressure. This is the reverse of the normal osmosis process.
Safe Water FilmTec™ Reverse Osmosis Membrane (0.0001µ) prevents 99% of total dissolved solids from passing through while producing very low impurity pure water. FilmTec™ is the top market leader in manufacturing these fine quality membrane elements. These are tested and approved by National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) and Water Quality Association (WQA) USA as the most consistent and reliable source to purify water for impurities.
