The CTO (Chlorine, Taste and Odour) carbon block filter is manufactured using activated carbon compressed into a solid, compact structure. This design provides effective contact between the water and carbon media, helping reduce chlorine, unpleasant tastes and odours.

The carbon block cartridge also helps reduce certain organic compounds and fine suspended particles, depending on the filter specifications and micron rating. It is commonly used as a filtration stage in whole house water filtration systems to improve water quality before distribution throughout the property.

Description

Carbon block filter is made up of the same material as the Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) Filter but unlike GAC filter, carbon block filter is made by compressing the loose carbon into a solid compact structure which enhances its capability to absorb impurities massively. These cartridges are required in whole house jumbo filtration systems.

The Carbon Block cartridge acts as the additional stage with dual function of removal of any excess of inorganic chemicals, heavy metals, pesticides while the compact structure also ensures removal of particle sized sediments.
